Behind every pilot project, technology testbed, and living lab in MOBILITIES FOR EU, there are people—planners, researchers, local authorities, technical experts—all mobility users—who shape the path to climate-neutral cities. To highlight their stories, we’re proud to launch our new campaign: “People of MOBILITIES FOR EU.”

This ongoing series will spotlight the individuals working on the ground and behind the scenes to make inclusive, sustainable, and innovative urban mobility a reality.

Why People Matter in the Mobility Transition

The shift to climate-neutral and digitally enabled urban transport systems isn’t just about autonomous buses, e-mobility platforms, or smart traffic systems. It’s about how these innovations are imagined, implemented, and adapted by the people who live and work in cities every day.

“People of MOBILITIES FOR EU” focuses on the human side of transformation. We’ll share short profiles highlighting who is involved in the project—from city officials in Espoo and Madrid to engineers in Barcelona, designers in Ioannina, and the teams co-creating the future of transport in their own cities.

Their insights show how collaboration, creativity, and persistence play a role in turning ambitious plans into tangible impact.

A Campaign Built on Stories

Each feature in the campaign will explore questions like:

• What does sustainable mobility mean to you?
• How are you working to make your city’s mobility more inclusive or accessible?
• What lessons have you learned through the project so far?

By surfacing these voices, we aim to build a richer understanding of the everyday work involved in achieving our shared goals. We also hope to inspire others—inside and outside the project—to connect with the mobility transition on a more personal level.

Connecting the Dots Across Europe

MOBILITIES FOR EU brings together 28 partners from 11 countries, including 2 Lead Cities and 5 Replication Cities that serve as testbeds for next-generation mobility solutions. The diversity of perspectives and expertise within the project is one of its greatest strengths.

With this campaign, we want to celebrate that diversity.
