AEDIVE, an association that brings together nearly 300 companies from the electric mobility ecosystem in Spain and Portugal, plays a crucial intermediary role between the private sector -the businesses- and the public sector.
The dialogue with the different layers of public administration, central, regional and local government is part of its fundamental mission. The aim is the development and promotion of laws, regulations and incentive schemes, among other measures. At the same time, the association carries out numerous actions, such as sectorial meetings, webinars, conferences and congresses, to create synergies and business opportunities among our members, facilitating networking and promoting the development of valuable projects. We consider ourselves as business accelerators.
In this regard, there are two major events that sum up AEDIVE’s objectives and activity very well. Firstly, the VEM – Vehículos Eléctricos Madrid fair: an exhibition designed to bring electromobility closer to the citizens, which has become the reference event in Spain for seeing and testing electric vehicles in an urban environment and for finding out about the commercial offer of products and services from the companies that make up the electric mobility value chain in Spain. The 2024 edition attracted more than 30,000 visitors, with a significant presence of political authorities. This year VEM will hold its tenth edition from 19 to 21 September.
On the other hand, the European Congress on Electric Mobility (CEVE) is a key event to learn about the current situation and the latest trends in electric mobility, from several perspectives: technological, regulatory, industrial and social, among others. It is an ideal space for high-value networking between professionals and companies in the electromobility ecosystem, also with significant institutional participation. Precisely, in 2024, one of the round tables held discussed the MOBILITIES for EU project. The 2025 edition will take place on 21 and 22 October in Zaragoza.
‘Our experience and capacity in this proactive dialogue with the Administration leads us to play a fundamental role in promoting public-private collaboration projects’, says Javier Izquierdo, technical director of AEDIVE.
Thanks to this know-how, the association is playing a very active role in Work Package 5, in Task 5.1, “Packaging of new 2ZERO and CCAM mobility solutions to foster upscaling and replication”.
In this sense, AEDIVE actively participated in several workshops, including one in Ioannina (November 2024), where the grouping of solutions and the comparative analysis between cities such as Madrid and Dresden were discussed. Another important workshop recently took place on 11-12 June in Gdansk, focusing on the validation of both individual and packaged solutions, the review of technical datasheets and the identification of partners responsible for completing the datasheet information. These events allowed the collection of feedback and input from stakeholders across the consortium.
