• More than 300 professionals from the electromobility ecosystem gathered at Mobility City in Zaragoza to discuss challenges and opportunities in a rapidly expanding sector.
• The event was fully booked days in advance, consolidating its position as the leading forum in the Iberian Peninsula.
Zaragoza, 23 October 2025 – The ninth edition of the European Electric Mobility Congress (CEVE), organised by AEDIVE in collaboration with the Ibercaja Foundation, concluded with great success at Mobility City. Over 300 industry professionals — including manufacturers, charging point operators, utilities, service companies, and public authorities — came together for two days of debates, networking, and technical visits.
During the inauguration, Zaragoza’s Mayor Natalia Chueca highlighted the city’s progress: “Zaragoza is a model of decarbonisation, especially in mobility. A third of our bus fleet is already electric, and by 2030 it will be fully electric.” Adriano Mones, President of AEDIVE, emphasised the need for stronger public support to boost the sector’s competitiveness and resilience.
Panels and discussions focused on the electrification of heavy transport, smart charging, battery innovation, and the user’s role in sustainable mobility, as well as new fiscal and financial mechanisms such as CAEs and eCredits.
The round table that closed the conference was dedicated to “Opportunities in electric mobility projects in Europe”, focusing on the MOBILITIES for EU project and experiences with European funding.
The speakers were Julia Vicente Gómez, Researcher in the Energy Division at CARTIF and project coordinator, and Beatriz Rodriguez Peinado, Head of the European Funds and Public Aid Department at EMT Madrid, moderated by Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Head of Communications at AEDIVE.
The discussion provided insights into the project’s objectives, current progress, and next steps. Julia Vicente highlighted the benefits of participating in European initiatives of this scale and explained the Urban Transport Laboratories (UT-Labs) model. Beatriz Rodriguez shared EMT Madrid’s experience in transitioning to electrification and the common barriers faced in European projects, particularly regarding infrastructure and implementation.
