On September 21, 2024, the Polish city of Gdańsk celebrated European Mobility Week with an educational picnic at the “Brzeźno” tram loop, showcasing its commitment to sustainable and innovative urban transport. The event, organised as part of the MOBILITIES FOR EU project, aimed to popularise public transport among citizens by combining history, innovation, and engagement.
The highlight of the day was the launch of two special public transport lines, blending historic charm with cutting-edge technology.
Timetables for the special lines featured branded graphics inspired by MOBILITIES FOR EU, reinforcing the city’s connection to this European initiative.
The educational picnic attracted families, urban mobility enthusiasts, and stakeholders, creating a platform for discussing the benefits of sustainable mobility while celebrating the role of public transport in reducing urban emissions.
