Within the European Mobility Week 2025, the Spanish radio channel COPE interviewed MOBILITIES FOR EU coordinator Julia Vicente Gómez (CARTIF). The discussion highlighted how Madrid, one of our two Trailblazer Cities alongside Dresden, is already deploying innovative pilot actions that will shape the future of urban mobility.
The pilots in Madrid bring together a wide range of advanced technologies and sustainable solutions:
As our coordinator underlined, MOBILITIES FOR EU is not only about developing and testing new technologies. The project also emphasises citizen participation and European cooperation, ensuring that the solutions designed in Madrid and Dresden can be adapted and scaled up across many other European cities.
Madrid is positioning itself as a frontrunner in sustainable and innovative mobility. By advancing these pilot activities, the city is directly contributing to the broader European ambition of achieving climate neutrality by 2030.
