The Mercamadrid10K celebrated its 8th edition this Sunday with record participation — 2,000 runners and 20,000 kilograms of fresh food donated to the Madrid Food Bank Foundation. Under the motto “Live the experience in a unique space”, the event turned Europe’s largest fresh food platform into a celebration of sport, health, and solidarity, opening its doors to thousands of visitors and families.
Amidst the many activities, tastings, and educational workshops, the MOBILITIES FOR EU project presented its work on sustainable mobility and logistics transformation within Mercamadrid — one of the project’s key Urban Mobility Labs. The Mercamadrid10K provided a unique opportunity to showcase these efforts, connecting the project’s vision for cleaner mobility with a day celebrating health, community and social responsibility.
