MOBILITIES FOR EU made a significant impact at the European Congress of Electromobility (CEVE 2024), a major event focused on electric mobility’s future. The project’s coordinator, Julia Vicente, participated in a roundtable titled “Urban and Rural Mobility,” where she highlighted key initiatives of MOBILITIES FOR EU. Julia outlined the project’s efforts to design adaptable, sustainable mobility models for European cities, addressing challenges in both urban and rural areas. Her participation emphasised the need for scalable, efficient mobility solutions to achieve Europe’s green transition goals.

Organised by AEDIVE (Spanish Association for Electric Mobility), CEVE 2024 gathered over 500 professionals from across Europe, including representatives from public administrations, technology developers, electric vehicle manufacturers, and infrastructure providers, engineering companies, installers companies, financial firms and consultants. The congress featured extensive discussions on the potential of electric mobility, with a focus on the role of new technologies in improving urban transport. Attendees included experts from Spain, France, Germany, and Portugal, as well as local representatives from Asturias. These discussions centered on electromobility’s transformative role in reducing emissions and promoting sustainable transport solutions across Europe.

MOBILITIES FOR EU’s presence at CEVE 2024 underscores its commitment to advancing clean, smart mobility solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders from across the continent. This congress marks a milestone for electromobility, bringing together thought leaders to pave the way for a more sustainable and connected Europe. The congress was held on 18 and 19 September in the auditorium of the Gijón exhibition centre.
